CBD is short for Cannabidiol, a chemical compound found naturally in the cannabis plant. It is NOT psychoactive like THC, which means CBD will never get you high. In the past 40+ years there have been numerous scientific studies of CBD as well as a greater understanding of the human Endocannabinoid System, which our internal system that detects and directs CBD and the other 80+ cannabinoids, found in the cannabis plant.
Both are hemp extracts. An isolate is a cheaper concentrated extract that contains 99% CBD only, the Full Spectrum oil are typically 75-80% CBD with supporting terpenes, amino acids, and other nutrients that contribute to the entourage effect. With a full spectrum product the various nutrients support other elements in having the desired effect on the body. We believe that nature has a lot of wisdom so all out products have the Full Spectrum of supportive elements. Full spectrum oils, while being costlier to produce are loved for their wholistic benefits.
All our products use an Organic Coconut (not palm) MCT oil. Our flavored oils have Organic flavor extracts and Organic stevia extract. While much of the stevia on the market has a bitter aftertaste, we source from a specialty producer who uses no solvents in the extraction process. This leaves a more full and complete end product devoid of the classic stevia bitterness many associate with stevia sweetened products.
All our products are formulated to be well below the .3% legal limit for THC. Each batch is lab tested to assure compliance. The product will not get you high.
We offer a natural flavor with a light and mild hemp taste and smell. Our Mint and Lemon use organic flavor extract and a little organic stevia to add a hint of sweetness.
Sadly, we are not able to share the benefits. The FDA has very strict laws on what a manufacturer can and can’t claim about their product. We look forward to the day that there are approved clinical trials that we are allowed to reference. We always comply with all the current rules and regulations. We want to be here making products for the long haul! You always have to be careful when you see any company claiming benefits and selling at the same time.
We encourage you to look into the research yourself. There are many testimonials available online that may aid in learning about the benefits of these products on your own terms. There is a lot to discover and many great resources available to give you a good introduction or a deep understanding of the potential of this plant and what it produces.
The popularity and use of CBD has been increasing exponentially in recent years, however, state laws on CBD vary widely. The most important factors determining CBD legality are whether it is derived from hemp or marijuana plant as well as if the producer is a state-licensed grower.
Even though hemp contains virtually no THC, the answer to the question, “Is hemp legal?” is a bit more compliacted. As of 2019, CBD derived from hemp is legal nationwide at the federal level. This includes all hemp-derived CBD products like oils, gummies and topical items. However, some states have laws on CBD from hemp that are restrictive. In some states, CBD derived from marijuana is completely legal; but in most states, its legality depends on other factors.
This is a rapidly changing territory with local and federal laws affecting different areas of the country. We recommend doing the research for your area specific to what is available in present time.

Terpenes are what give plants their specific scents, the smell of flowers, fruits, and cannabis are all produced by terpenes. The terpenes in cannabis not only produce a specific aroma, but they contribute to the difference between strains of cannabis. Many products on the market are isolate and contain only CBD, all our products are full spectrum and contain all the naturally occurring terpenes as nature intended
Our CBD will not get you high, all products are well below the legal limit of .3% THC which will not get you high with standard dosage.

DaoZen uses Co2 extraction, it allows us to preserve the delicate terpenes and supportive elements that allow the extract to have a whole plant nutrient profile.
The defining difference between marijuana and hemp is the amount of THC. Marijuana refers to strains of cannabis that contain high levels of THC, often 10% or more. Hemp refers to strains of cannabis containing Non-Detectable THC. The same way apples have been breed over the years for some to be sweet and others tart, the Cannabis plant has been bred in different directions, one to increase the THC that gets you high, others (like the ones we use) to increase the other cannabinoids.
Our products are good up to 6 to 8 months after the purchase date.
DaoZen CBD is best stored at room temperature.
The Hemp oil sold in grocery store is oil extracted from the hemp seed. This product has great culinary use but has little to none of the cannabinoids.
Cannabinoids have no know toxicity, that being said everyone has their own sensitivity so we recommend starting with a small dose and slowly increasing while monitoring the effect.
